As part of our ongoing commitment to open communication and timely updates, I wanted to provide all students, staff and families with an update regarding the principal role at Twelve Mile Coulee School (TMC).
Principal Rakowski has accepted a principal position at Silver Springs School effective January 20, 2025. Principal Rakowski would like to thank all the students, staff and families for their support and commitment to student success and well-being during his time as principal at Twelve Mile Coulee. He has shared that it was a privilege to serve as the principal for the school community and he leaves with fond memories of his time.
As part of the process to select a new principal for TMC, the CBE welcomes input from parents, students and staff regarding the programming and leadership attributes you value. Your input is taken into consideration as part of the hiring process of a new principal for TMC. An online survey will be available on the TMC website until January 23rd at 4:00 pm. To support both the interviewing and transition times, I am pleased to share that Patty Numan will continue in the role of interim Principal throughout the process to select and welcome a new principal into the TMC school community.
I wanted to take a moment to thank Derek Rakowski for his leadership and support for TMC School over the past several years. Derek is a passionate educator and leader who has impacted numerous students and families during his time at TMC. I know we all wish Derek well as he transitions to an elementary school leadership role.
I also want to express my gratitude to the students and families of TMC for your support as we have worked through HR processes to commence the selection of a new principal. I recognize that there have been several transitions this past fall and I have appreciated the commitment by all stakeholders to ensure learning continuity and success for all students throughout this time.
I am committed to providing updates in relation to the appointment of a new principal for TMC School following the completion of the interview process.
