TMC Weekly Message - September 4, 2026 - Twelve Mile Coulee School

TMC Parents and Guardians,

Our first week of school has ended and my observation is that it has been a success. Students are already looking comfortable in the building connecting with their peers and teachers. The students did look tired by the end of the week as the transition from summer holidays to full-time student can be difficult, however as students learn new strategies for these transitions their personal resilience will increase and serve them well in other aspects of life also. I have one request, please speak with your student if they go off campus at lunch about littering, there has already been an increase in garbage in the field. I have also attached information for Meet the Teacher Night next Thursday.

Meet The Teacher 2026

A Message from our Band/Music Teacher: We are looking for an accompanist for our school choir. Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 beginning on Sept. 15. If you are available, we would love to hear from you! Please email Mrs. Thornborough at dlthornborough@cbe.ab.ca

Parents and Guardians of students in Band 8 and 9 should plan to attend the Band Camp meeting on September 10 at 5:30pm in the music room (during meet the teacher).
