TMC Parents and Guardians,

Just a reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow, Friday September 25. I have attached a document regarding an upcoming survey we will be conducting with the students. The document explains your role in giving consent for students to complete these anonymous surveys. These surveys provide us with important student perception data about their experiences at TMC and allow us to look at ways we can improve their learning experience. Thank you to parents that have already completed the fall demographic forms and the survey consent portion of those forms.

I would ask that you speak with your student(s) regarding traffic safety in the morning and after school. It is very busy around the school, please remind your student to dismount their bikes/scooters when using the crosswalks and look both ways. In addition, I ask parents that are driving their students to school or picking their students up after school to be mindful of the students making their way to and from school on bikes, scooters, or walking. On Wednesday this week we had a vehicle hit a student, I appreciate the driver of the vehicle stopped to ensure the student was OK and able to come to school. I am unsure if the driver was a member of the TMC community, however if they could reach out to the school it would be appreciated.

Fundraising Opportunities

TMC Casino

Our next fundraising casino is fast approaching on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 and we need your help to make it happen! Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of positions. It's fun, easy and a great way to connect with other parents plus you get delicious free food during your volunteer shift. Each casino typically raises over $80,000 for our school. In the past casino funds have paid for programs, field trips and equipment including teacher supplies, art supplies, technology, food room equipment, gym equipment, weight room, theatre lights, projectors, grade 9 farewell and many more items.
