Dear Families of TMC

I want to communicate with you some staffing changes that will take place this week.  Because of declining enrollment since the beginning of this school year, we had to surplus one of our esteemed teachers, Michelle Sverdahl.  This decision was based entirely on seniority.  Michelle is a grade 6 teacher in TMC.  In order to accommodate this loss of a teacher, we are filling her position with a current member of the TMC staff, Melissa Craig.  Melissa began the current school year as a grade 9 Humanities teacher and a literacy teacher for all grades.  Michelle and Melissa will team teach math and science in 6-5 and 6-6 until Michelle moves to another CBE school sometime later in September. 

Updates

CTF/Option classes began at the end of last week.  With copious hours of manipulation and communication with staff and students, I am thrilled to state that Ms. Bond was able to place almost every student with 3 of their top 4 choices.  This is a huge feat.  With the current staff shifts, we will still have to make some adjustments to staffing in some CTF/Option classes but we are anticipating those changes to be very minimal. 

Volunteers

We welcome volunteers in the classroom, on field trips and with certain tasks at school. Safety

Wasps:  This plague in the city of Calgary is also evident in our back field.  Please ensure we have accurate health information for your student so we can support appropriately.  If required, please complete our Student Health Plan and return to the schools office as soon as possible.
