TMC Parents and Guardians,

What a great week for Titan athletics. Last weekend our Jr. Boys basketball team won their tournament, and the Jr. Girls finished fourth. This week in soccer playoffs our Girls team finished second in their division, losing 1-0 in the final. The boys’ soccer team won their semi-final and will playing in the final next week. Next week our Leadership club has organized a spirit week, specific details are below for each day, but on Friday we are encouraging students to dress up in a costume for Halloween. However, costumes need to be appropriate for school and things to consider when selecting the costume are:

Masks are fine but if teacher asks you to remove them students need to comply.
No items that look like realistic weapons, ie. if you dress as a pirate and you have plastic or foam sword or a Star Wars character with a lightsaber that is fine, however if I (or other staff) determine that your accessory is too “realistic” or could actually do damage I will keep it in my office for the day. Parents, please err on the side of caution with this decision.
No water pistols or toy guns.
Costumes should not mock or stereotype another race or culture.
Costumes should not contain offensive language, symbols, or images.

As you review these guidelines with your students please use your best judgement at home, if you have any questions, please reach out directly to me.

Have a great weekend.

Chad Flaman
