TMC Weekly Message March 21, 2025

TMC Parents and Guardians,

Spring break is upon us, and I could definitely see some “spring fever” behavior from our students so I think the break is well timed😊. One staffing update that I would like to share, we will be gaining a new staff member after spring break: Mrs. Lepine. Mrs. Lepine comes with extensive teaching experience and will be taking over the Phys-Ed classes for Mrs. Bond and Mrs. Cockburn. This will allow Mrs. Bond to provide more time to support students in the main office and complete administrative work to help facilitate a smooth last three months of the school. Mrs. Cockburn will use the additional time to work with Mrs. Riegert in the resource room providing additional supports to students. In addition, to Mrs. Lepine taking over the PE classes she will be working to provide literacy support to specific classes, this schedule is being finalized. We are hoping that these additional supports being provided can help address learning gaps for our student body.

I would also request that if any grade 6, 7, or 8 families are planning to move or make a decision to move before the end of June can you please let the school know as this will assist in our planning for next year.

Finally have a relaxing spring break and I look forward to seeing everyone on March 31.

March 21– No School. Non-instructional Day and Parent Teacher Interviews

March 22-March 30: Spring Break, Return to school on March 31

Week of March 31: Grade 6, 8 and 9 students will be completing the CBE student Survey

Thursday April 3: School Council at 7 pm, currently scheduled to be online due to Labor Action

Tuesday April 15: Grade 5 tours during the day

Badminton season will begin on Tuesday April 1

We are excited that the badminton season is a go for the 2025 season! Please see the link here to access the tryout schedule for after the break.

2025 Badminton Schedule

There are no tryouts on the first day back. If your child is interested in trying out for the team and they will be unable to make a tryout, please let the following coaches know:
