Dear TMC Titan Students, Parents and Guardians,
May showers bring May flowers…? I am waiting for all the green we will see next week from this. Sounds like we have nice weather coming! Rain is a good reason to wear your hats tomorrow!
“Around the Coulee” Safety Message
This is a message from your Friendly Neighborhood Safety Man! Our School Council has heard that there have been some issues around a specific area down on the path around the coulee. If your students have any issues with people not in the TMC community, let them know that they should tell someone, be that their parents or someone at the school, and parents should call the police non emergency line at 403-266-1234 and make CPS aware as needed.
Hats On for Mental Health this Wednesday, May 8, 2024
As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting mental health awareness and support within our school community, we will be participating in Hats On for Mental Health this Wednesday, May 8.
This year, the focus is on compassion. Compassion is a powerful tool in fostering understanding, empathy, and support for those who may be struggling with their mental health. By coming together in solidarity, and wearing hats, we can demonstrate our commitment to creating a culture of compassion and support for one another.
Thank you for your participation and dedication to promoting mental health awareness and compassion within our school! I have about 40 hats in our front closet, so I will be picking one of the many! J

Mental Health Week is May 6 to 12, 2024
As we look ahead to Mental Health Week (May 6-12), it can be challenging to determine the best way to help students tackle topics as critical as compassion and kindness, which are always needed in greater quantities. This year, the theme of Mental Health Week is centered on the healing power of compassion. In a world plagued by suffering, it is important to remember that kindness is equally intrinsic to our humanity.
Every year since 1951, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has hosted Mental Health Week and this year marks the 73rd year.
This year, the theme is centred on the healing power of compassion. Links to various resources are below.
Spamalot the Musical – May 8 and 9, 2024
There are well over 100 TMC students and staff involved in the cast and crew preparing for this musical phenomenon! I can’t wait to see this, and you can come to see it here at TMC for $15.00. The two performances are Wednesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 10 at 6:30 pm. You can obtain tickets by using the ticket order form attached to this email or by having your student get a ticket order form at the office. Return the order form and your method of payment to the school office and tickets will be issued to your student. Tickets are selling fast!
We will not be having a performance for students during the school day, as we only will have the evening performances. Please come join us for the hilarious performance as only Monty Python could create!
So come “Find Your Grail,” and, as we all know, what happens in Spamalot stays in Spamalot!
It is going to be amazing to see a TMC Musical once again! Make sure you “Always look on the bright side of life!” (And yes, now that song will be in your head all day…)
